Arab League condemns Turkey invasion into northern Iraq

<p style="text-align: left;">The Arab League has condemned Turkey's repeated invasions of Iraqi sovereignty, most recently in which two Iraqi officers were killed.

According to Ain al-Iraq News, the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Abu al-Gheit, issued a statement strongly condemning the Turkish attack on the Sidkan area in northern Iraq, which killed two officers and a soldier of the Iraqi Armed Forces ae well as a number of civilians.

Abu al-Gheit further called the aggression a clear violation of Iraqi sovereignty and international principles, treaties and charters, and also the principle of good neighborliness.

On the other hand, an Arab League official stated that the union would support any action taken by the Iraqi government at the international level to stop Turkey's repeated invasions of its territory and to maintain Iraq's sovereignty, security and stability.
