Referring to Turkish policies and projects in the region, the North and East Syrian Authority said in a statement that "the Turkish government has adopted a policy in the region, especially after integrating the Turanian nationalist ideology with the political Islam of the Muslim Brotherhood, which relies on threats and destruction and has deepened crises. The Turkish government which has violated all moral and legal values in Syria, has adopted the same policy in Iraq and is a major threat to the Eastern Mediterranean, especially Libya and Greece, Europe and Asia.”
The statement further added that Turkey has extended its interventions to the African continent through backing Muslim Brotherhood movements in Egypt. It has played a devastating and negative role since the beginning of the Syrian crisis and has occupation projects on the agenda has put territorial and social disintegration (in war-torn Syria). It has turned popular movements in Syria into religious and identity conflicts. It has created an obstacle on political and patriotic solutions to the Syrian crisis by supporting radical groups.”
"As the self-government of northern and eastern Syria, we condemn Turkey's threatening policies against the region," the statement further said.
It also stated that a pragmatic and serious behavior must be on the agenda in the face of this criminal policy, adding that “The United Nations, the UN Security Council, the European Union, NATO and the Arab League must take actions to stop Turkey's destructive policies in the region.
