Born in Malaksha village at the vicinity of Sanandaj in 1951, Malaksha first wrote his poems and stories in Persian and later picked Kurdish as his language to retell his stories and write his poems many of them has been collected in a book titled “The Clank of the Chain of Captive Words.”
Many of his poems have been translated into English, Arabic, Russian and French.
Malaksha's tough life has had a profound effect on his poems and this suffering can be clearly seen in Malaksha's poems. Jalal's poems are about human pain, shortcomings in society, social inequalities and oppression. Jalal's philosophical viewpoints and his acquaintance with world myths have made him as one of great Kurdish poets.
