Responding to the remarks of Kifah Mahmoud, media adviser to the office of Democratic Party leader Massoud Barzani, about Haidar Ebadi and accusing him of responsibility for Iraq's bankruptcy, the Nasr official said: "Al-Abadi worked professionally and efficiently throughout his rule to save Iraq from its crises, and international decision-makers asked him how he was able to run the country at that dangerous stage, especially with the victories achieved during that period and the occupation of one third of Iraq by the terrorist organization ISIS and the fall in world oil prices, was questioned."
Al-Radini added: "Al-Abadi tried to prevent the Kurdistan Region from seceding from Iraq, and Iraq at that time was moving towards disintegration according to Massoud Barzani's plans, and the remarks [by Kafah Mahmoud] were due to al-Abadi's resistance to Barzani's secession plan from Iraq."
The senior member of the Nasr coalition said: "The recent blames against Abadi are part of a retaliatory operation aimed at destroying his reputation, especially in the context of the demands for his return to power in the coming years in society. These comments are also evaluated in the context of Barzani's election campaign."
It should be noted that Kifah Mahmoud, media advisor to the office of Massoud Barzani, the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, blamed former Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Abadi for the bankruptcyof Iraq.
