According to IQ News, Malla Bakhtiar, a member of the Supreme Political Council and the interests of the PUK, said in a statement that "the Kurdistan Region has no solution to its problems and Iraq is suffering from the same crisis."
"It is necessary to repair the cabinet, hold early elections and reach an agreement with Baghdad and immediately hand over the oil case to it," the PUK senior member added.
He also called for considering the people who have been killed in the recent protests in Kurdistan Region as "martyrs."
It is reminded that a few days ago, a number of cities in the Kurdistan Region witnessed demonstrations in protest to the delay in the payment of citizens' salaries and the lack of service facilities.
Images released by social media activists show security forces using smoke bombs to disperse protesters. A number of protesters set fire to party offices and two people were killed.
