Maliki coalition attempts to run two ministries in next government: daily

<p style="text-align: left;">The daily of al-Quds al-Arabi stated in a report that the State of Law Coalition, led by former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, plans to achieve the managing post of two ministries in the next Iraqi government.

The daily wrote on Tuesday, October 23, that the coalition has asked Prime Minister designate Adil Abdul Mahdi to give the leadership of the ministries of the Youth and Sports and Oil to the coalition and has introduced its candidates for the posts.

According to the daily a source who asked to remain unknown stated that Maliki has held a meeting with Abdul Mahdi over the posts and Maliki has offered to persons, one of them his son-in-law, for the ministries but Abdul Mahdi has denied the demands and their meeting has led into no avail, with Maliki leaving the meeting angrily.
