Arif Taifour, head of KDP Leadership Council in Sulaymaniyah-Halabja, told BasNews that his party has formed a negotiating committee to initiate the talks next week.
He revealed that following the meeting with the PUK, they will approach the other political parties.
The next Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is said to be not a broad-based one as the leading parties believe the model has not been successful in the past. “However, it is not clear yet… the KDP will treat other parties based on their electoral gains,” the official said.
According to Taifour, the KDP will nominate Nechirvan Barzani to take the office as the prime minister for another term.
