Chancellors and officials of top Iranian and Russian universities in their fourth joint meeting in the Kish Island in southern Iran on Saturday underlined promotion of international status of both Iranian and Russian universities in light of mutual cooperation.

In their final statement, the participants emphasized regular holding of such meetings, mutual support for scientific and educational upgrading of their respective universities and bilateral research and educational cooperation, IRNA reported.

Among provisions of the statement was organizing Persian course in Russian and the Russian course in Iranian universities, knowledge sharing and using each other's potential and facilities.
