PUK, Sadr coalition stresses on normalizing situation in Kirkuk

<p style="text-align: left;">A member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) stated that a delegation from the party met the chief of the movement of Sadr in Baghdad where the two sides called for normalizing situation in the northern disputed province of Kirkuk which both Baghdad and the Kurdish autonomous region in the north claim authority over.

Mariwan Nader, a PUK deputy in the Iraqi parliament, told the official website of the party that the PUK delegation and Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of Sadr Movement and al-Saeroon Coalition, discussed the formation of the new Iraqi government and the share of the PUK in the new government.

He stated that Sadr has welcomed the PUK offers and demands, including normalizing situation in Kirkuk.

According to Nader the delegation also met the Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi in the visit on Monday November 3 in Baghdad.
