Turkey jets hits suspected PKK positions in Kurdistan Region

<p style="text-align: left;">Turkish army artillery shelled suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers&rsquo; Party (PKK) in the Kurdistan Region&rsquo;s sub-district of Kani Mase.

According to NRT the Turkish artillery struck the village of Derishke in the Amedi district, northeast of Duhok, on Tuesday, March 19.

The shelling has caused no casualties, according to local sources.

Turkey intermittently carries out strikes against suspected PKK positions in the Kurdistan Region.

The three-decade armed struggle by the PKK against the Turkish government flared up again in 2015 after the collapse of a two-year ceasefire and settlement process.
