Iraqi PM Abdul Mahdi in Tehran for bilateral talks

<p style="text-align: left;">Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi arrived in the Iranian capital Tehran on Saturday morning for a two-day visit.

Heading a high-ranking delegation, the Iraqi PM was officially welcomed by President Hasan Rouhani and is to hold talks with top Iranian officials on bilateral issues.

Abdul Mahdi is also scheduled to visit the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (the eighth Shia Imam) in the city of Mashad, northeastern Iran, IRNA reported.

The Iraqi premier will also take part in the third Iran-Iraq economic commission.

Abdul-Mahdi&rsquo;s trip to Tehran is taking place at the invitation of Rouhani.
