Kurdish delegation visit to Baghdad leads to no avail: MP

<p style="text-align: left;">A parliament member from the Iraqi al-Islah Front expressed his doubt if the recent visit of a Kurdish delegation to Baghdad would lead into any results in the disputes between the central government in Baghdad and the Kurdish government in Erbil.

Calling the visit fruitless and disappointing, Sadiq al-Mahna said in a statement that some Kurdish officials have fueled tensions in the Kurdish region by the visit they have made to Baghdad, al-Ghad Press reported.

Al-Mahna added that the Kurdish delegation tried to pressure Baghdad to step back over the issue of the region&rsquo;s independence referendum in September 2017 which led into tensions between the two sides.
