A military source who spoke under condition of anonymity told Anadolu agency that two dozen armored vehicles entered Reyhanli district of southeastern Hatay province.
The sources added that military jammer vehicles were also sent “for reinforcement reasons.”
A convoy of 20 military vehicles including tanks also arrived in Viransehir district in Sanliurfa province in southeastern Turkey, Anadolu reported.
The convoy was sent from Mardin province for assistance to military units on the Syrian border, the sources added.
The deployment came after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that Turkey would continue to fight against terrorism along its southern borders. He is focused now on an operation in Afrin, which is controlled by the Syrian Kurdish fighters.
Erdogan on Monday also reaffirmed that the Turkish army was ready "at any moment" to launch an operation against the pro-Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in Syria.
Since December, Ankara has reinforced the southern border of Turkey through the Hatay district sending armored vehicles, tanks and howitzers into Syria, sources told Hurriyet Daily news.
