KDP not to deny U.S. mediating role in settling Erbil-Baghdad disputes: deputy

<p style="text-align: left;">A member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in the Iraqi parliament stated that his party would never refute the mediating role the U.S. has played in easing ties between Erbil and Baghdad.

Rinas Jano told Baghdad al-Yaum that the role of the U.S. in mediating between the two governments in Erbil and Baghdad has been positive and that KDP would never deny the role.

He added that the Kurdish region welcomes the policy of open doors in ties with all states and considers itself as a part of the stability in the region and would turn into a crisis, continuing to say that Erbil is attempting to boost its ties with its neighbors, Iran and Turkey in particular.
