Haider al-Abadi still seeking to punish Kurdistan Region: PUK deputy

<p style="text-align: left;">A Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) deputy in the Iraqi parliament blamed Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi for the Iraqi national budget which has not been finalized yet, adding that the PM is still seeking to punish Kurdistan Region after the independence referendum of the region in October 2017.

Rizan Sheikh Delir told al-Maalomeh news agency that lowering the share of the Kurds from 17 percent into 12 percent was an Abadi attempt to punish the region and his efforts for more punishments are still underway.

Delir added that Iraqi parliament deputies’ meetings with Abadi over the share of the region have led into no avail as Abadi is still stressing on lowering the share into 12 percent.
