U.S. planning to establish military base on Iran-Iraq border: daily

<p style="text-align: left;">The Lebanese daily of al-Akhbar reported the U.S. is planning to establish a military base near the region of Amam Weis, on Iraq&rsquo;s border with Iran.

The daily claimed the establishment of the base is to prevent the ifiltration of the Iraqi forces of Hashd al-Shaabi.

The report stated that the U.S. has made the decision not so long ago and is to erect the base in order to prevent Hashd al-Shaabi forces from intervening in the disputed regions of Jalawla, al-Saadiye and al-Meqdadiye in northern Iraq.
