Britain does not back Turkey invasion in Afrin: FM

<p style="text-align: left;">Boris Johnson, the British Foreign Minister, stated in remarks that his country understands Turkey&amp;rsquo;s concerns about the Kurdish forces of PKK and YPG but does not back Ankara invasion in the Syrian Kurdish town of Afrin.

Speaking to UK parliament representatives at the parliament on Monday, February 26, Johnson said UK does not back the Turkish invasion and underscored that London is worried about the humanitarian aftereffects of the invasion and its impact on the war against the Islamic State (IS).

Johnson stated that he discussed Afrin operation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu and asked for Turkey&rsquo;s restraint in this regard.
