Iran, Turkey stress on expanding economic ties

<p style="text-align:left">Iran Ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Ibrahim Taherian Fard in meeting with new Head of Turkey Economic Relations Council Omead Kaylar underlined expansion of economic ties between Ankara and Tehran.

In the meeting, which took place here on Thursday, the two sides discussed ways to remove obstacles for easy trade between the two countries.

The ambassador pointed to the importance of strengthening economic exchanges between different sectors of trade and commerce between the two countries, and said that private sector is in priority of Iran's government economic plans, IRNA reported.

He expressed Iran's embassy readiness in Turkey for facilitating and strengthening ties between private sectors of the two countries.

Head of Turkey's Economic Relations Council expressed readiness for the development of ties with the Iranian private sector, and said that the new member of the council intends to expand mutual cooperation.

He said that the council is doing its utmost in direction to reach 30 billion dollars trade between the two states, as presidents of Iran and Turkey wanted.

The official also expressed readiness to visit Iran at the head of delegation in the upcoming spring.
