UN backs talks seeking to ease Erbil-Baghdad ties

<p style="text-align:left">The advisor to Iraqi President Fuad Masoum says the president stresses on setteling disputes between Erbil and Baghdad, stating that the UN backs talks to resolve tensions between the two governments.

Hussein al-Handawi told al-Marbad Radio that Masoum underlines negotiations between the Iraqi federal government and the Kurdish regional government in order to serve the people of the region.
Al-Handawi added that a number of goverment employees in the region have not received their salaries for a long time and the problem is irrelevant to the current dispute between the two governments.
