<p style="text-align: left;">The secretary general of the Kurdish forces of Peshmerga has stated that the Kurdistan Regional Government in Erbil has accepted the anti-IS coalition offer for the return of the Kurdish forces to disputed regions that both Erbil and Baghdad claim authority over.

Jabbar Yawar told al-Maalomeh news agency that the coalition has offered Baghdad the return of the Kurdish forces in the disputed regions that have been included in the Iraqi constitution, Article 140.

Yawar added that the coalition has offered the control of the regions by the Kurdish and Iraqi forces, the way they were controlled between 2011 to 2014, before the IS control over the regions.

He stated that the ministry has accepted the offer and Baghdad and Erbil are in talks over the issue.
