The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told BasNews that the PKK leaders in Kurdistan Region's Qandil Mountain fear from losing their influence on the political process in Turkey if the HDP joins the new government of the country.
Speaking to BasNews, Burhan Rauf, an expert in Turkish political affairs, noted that "if the HDP wants to continue its democratic struggle in Turkey, it should make its own decisions, and not take them from Qandil [PKK leaders]."
He added that the Kurdish armed group has been in a military confrontation with Ankara for decades, and therefore the pair's struggle is totally different from each other and cannot be combined.
Turkish presidential and parliamentary elections were held on Sunday where the HDP was able to get more than 10 percent of the votes.
