Demirtas said they would continue to fight for the interests of people inside and outside Turkish parliament, NRT reported.
“We will continue our fight without a single step backwards, focused around our principles,” he added in a statement he released from his cell in Edirne prison.
“The HDP being in the Parliament under such conditions is a great success,” he added referring to what he said state of emergency conditions, oppression and lack of balance.
Demirtas said he was only able to send 100 tweets during the election campaign while other candidates were able to held 100 rallies.
“Being forced to campaign under conditions of arrest was the greatest injustice in the elections,” he added.
The HPD broke the 10% threshold in parliamentary elections for the second election guaranteeing it representation in the Turkish legislature.
