<p style="text-align:left">Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechrivan Barzani discussed developments in Iraq with US Senator, Lindsey Graham accompanied by a delegation.

During the meeting on Tuesday, the US delegates hailed the Kurdistan Region for hosting nearly 1.8 million IDPs and Syrian refugees in the past few years, and the role of the Peshmerga forces in fighting the Islamic State (IS) specifically, and terrorism generally across the country.
US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas Silliman and Consul General in Erbil Ken Gross were attending the gathering, BasNews reported.
Officials also exchanged views on US's humanitarian and military assistance to the region.
The sides also shed light on the return of the refugees and IDPs to their places of origin and easing the process for them.
Barzani, in this regard, showed Kurdistan Region's readiness to any collaborations to address the issue.
Concerning the formation of the future government in Baghdad, the Kurdish premier reiterated that Kurdistan Region wants to be part of the next political process in Iraq as long as the constitutional rights of the Kurds are preserved.
