A suitable political climate has emerged in Syrian Kurdistan, official tells Kurdpress

<p style="text-align:left">A member of Syrian Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDPS) central committee stated that a good political climate has emerged in Syrian Kurdistan and we hope this atmosphere will continue so as we can reach a new agreement with the Democratic Union Party (PYD).

Referring to the process of negotiations between the Kurdish National Council and the Northern Syrian self-governing system, Kaveh Azizi stated in an interview with Kurdpress that the self administratiin has seriously requested the Kurdish council to reopen its offices in Syrian Kurdistan in order to pave the way for unity between the two sides.
He continued to say that the Kurdish council has also welcomed the initiative and has requested the Democratic Union Party (PYD), in a number of talks, for the release of its members in (PYD) prisons, but unfortunately, no action has been taken so far.
He added that after diplomatic activities between the national council and Syrian opposition groups in Ankara, meeting with US envoy for Syrian affairs James Jeffrey, holding a meeting with the Russian consul in Erbil, a meeting with the French consul in Iraq, as well as a meeting with Mr. Bogdanov, Russia's deputy foreign minister in Erbil, all requested the Syrian Kurds to come together to provide the new ground for their support in the Syrian constitution.
Referring to the decision of the parties participating in the Syrian Kurdish National Council to reopen offices in Syrian Kurdistan, Azizi said his party opened its offices in Qamishlu, Amouda, Derbasiya and Kobani at the request of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and former Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani and the Kurdish nation in Syria.
He finally added that a proper political climate has been established in Syrian Kurdistan and 'we hope that this atmosphere will continue until we reach a new agreement with the PYD.'
