Turkey is losing in Idlib, SDF commander tells Kurdpress

<p style="text-align:left">A commander of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated that Turkey is losing the ground in Syria&amp;rsquo;s Idlib crisis.

"At this time, Russia is looking to control more areas from the armed opposition in Idlib to have an upper hand before a planned meeting between the presidents of Russia and Turkey," Abu Omar Idliby, the commander of the North Democratic Brigade (a SDF faction) told Kurdpress.

In the past few days, the office of the Turkish president announced that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Moscow on Thursday to discuss the Idlib crisis with the Russian President Veladimir Putin.

"The Russian proposal will probably be the withdrawal of militant groups from the Idlib border strip, although it is difficult for the Turkish president," said the commander.
