Iran, Turkey discuss joint measures to fight against COVID-19

<p style="text-align: left;">The Head of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop in the telephone conversation with Iran's Speaker of the Parliament Ali Larijani discussed the measures taken by the two sides to fight against Coronavirus.

In the conversation, Şentop expressed regret that Larijani had contracted COVID-19 and wished health for him and for all Iranians.

Larijani and Şentop exchanged views about the joint efforts and measures to contain novel Coronavirus, Iran Press reported.

"I wished a speedy recovery to Mr. Larijani. He told me that his health condition was good and his treatment was still ongoing," Mustafa Sentop said in a statement.

The Turkish official expressed the hope that the two sides would successfully pass the crisis through collective efforts.

COVID-19 was first detected in China's Wuhan in late December and has since spread across the world.
