Sweden extradites Turkish citizen
Sweden has agreed to the extradition of a Turkish citizen demanded by Ankara. The Swedish Ministry of Justice said it was 29-year-old Omer Altun, who had been sentenced to 15 years in prison for fraud in Turkey. The extradition comes against the background of Turkey’s ongoing rejection of Sweden’s planned NATO membership.

Survey says belief in Kilicdaroglu’s chances of winning presidential race growing
A survey conducted by the Ankara-based MetroPoll shows that more people believe Turkey’s main opposition leader and presidential candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu can win the election on May 14 than the number of people who believed that in December 2022, according to the pollster.
