The head of the big tribe of Tey in the province of Hasaka in northern Syria, Besman Al-Ali Al-Asaf, told KurdPress that “The Arabs do not have any political organization as the case is with the Kurdish brothers and we deal through three organizations which are mainly social not political structures; so we recently unified our ranks and issued a political statement, clarifying our position on all the issues raised.”
“We clearly support deals or speaking with Kurdish parties but they (the deals) should lead to a comprehensive Syrian National Dialogue,” al-Asaf told KurdPress.
“We are waiting for the Kurdish parties to communicate with us,” the politician further said, adding that “We asked our Kurdish brothers to be realistic and rational in order to be a partner in the dialogue and this is the first time that Arab tribes have gathered and issued a unified and positive political stamen towards the Kurdish dialogue.”
