According to the Arabic service of Zagros TV, US Ambassador Matthew Tuler announced that his country will provide $ 250 million to the Ministry of Peshmerga of the Kurdistan Region.
"US aid will include $ 250 million worth of military equipment and facilities, as well as a training team to train Peshmerga forces to use the equipment," Tuler told a news conference with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Peshmerga Minister Shoresh Ismail.
Appreciating the role of the Peshmerga forces in the fight against the terrorist organization of the ISIS, the US Ambassador added: "This assistance shows the US support and assistance to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with the aim of establishing security and stability in the region."
