Barzani will pay an official visit to Sulaimani on Sunday, May 22.
Rudaw TV reported upon that his arrival in Sulaimani, the head of the Kurdistan Region, will attend the graduation ceremony of the 16th officer of the Qalachwalan Military Academy.
Barzani will then meet with Baffel Talabani in Dabashan area of Sulaimani.
According to the report, the issue of the Iraqi presidency, the conflicts between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the issue of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections, the media war between the two parties and the normalization of relations between the two sides will be the topics of discussion.
It is further mentioned that after meeting with the joint chairman of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barzani will visit the leaders of the Movement for Change, the Kurdistan Islamic Union and the Jamaat-e-Adalat.
The purpose of these meetings is to pave the way for a consensus between Kurdish political parties and movements in the Iraqi political process and the formation of a new government in the country.
