Iraqi army, Syrian Kurds cooperate against IS

<p style="text-align: left;">The U.S. president envoy to the anti-IS coalition stated that Iraqi army and the Syrian Kurdish forces of Peoples&rsquo; Protection Units (YPG) are cooperating against the terrorist group of the Islamic State (IS).

According to Shar Press, Brett MacGurk stated that the Kurdish forces and the troops of Iraqi army have started and operation against the IS on Syria-Iraq border.

He added that Iraqi army is cooperating with the Kurdish forces to cleanse the regions from the IS, revealing that the coalition forces are attending the operation.

The operation is being conducted within Jazire operation to cleanse Iraq- Syria border areas from IS elements.
