Dana Mohammad stated that Iranian airline companies are ready to resume the flights to the airport in Sulaimani, adding that the flights are expected to begin next month.

After the independence referendum of Kurdistan Region, held on September 25, 2017, the Iraqi government in Baghdad banned all international flights to and from Sulaimani and Erbil.
