Referring to the Kurdish region under the control of the Kurdish majority forces of Syrisn Democratic Forces (SDF), Meqdad said in the statement that "Kurds are an inseparable part of the Syrian nation. We completely reject the Authority in northern Syria and stress on its territorial integrity. The separatism thoughts, made in the north of the country, are in fact American and Zionist actions."
According to the KRD news agency, the deputy foreign minister further pointed to Turkish military interference in Syria, stating that "Turkey had prepared its camps before the recent developments in the region began; because Ankara thought the process would be completed within a few days. Turkey, which follows animosity with Syria, allows terrorists to enter the country. The U.S. is trying to protect Israel using the Syrian oil revenues and is also using Turkey in this regard".
