Villagers in the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq feel Turkey’s military operations against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) that has bases in the area have turned into a “war you don’t see”, British newspaper the Morning Star reported on Monday, May 24.
Former Turkey pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chairperson Selahattin Demirtas made new statements regarding the talks with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) jailed Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the PKK during the Kurdish peace process, which came to the agenda again with the calls for the HDP closure.
