Turkey Desk – The "Anti-NATO Youth Coalition" held a protest rally in Izmir, voicing opposition to the NATO summit scheduled for July 7–8 in Ankara. The group announced that protests against the summit would continue and vowed to welcome NATO in Ankara "as it deserves."
