Galo Issa, the member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Syria (KDPS), referred to the differences between the PKK and the KDP and stated: "The conflict between the PKK and the KDP is because Turkey policy in the region is not known. The Turkish army is unable to harm the PKK, but wants to undermine the system and legitimacy of Iraqi Kurdistan under this pretext, because it does not want the Kurds to have a political position, as it has occupied parts of Syrian Kurdistan."
Mr. Issa further noted that: "In order to solve the problem of both sides, the KDP should not cooperate with Turkey under any situation and should act away from Turkish politics and defend its borders. It is imperative for the Kurds to engage in dialogue and distance themselves from a fratricidal war, and that Kurdish politicians and parties take on the role of mediator in the problem between the two sides."
"Today, the Kurdish community is against war and conflict between the Kurdish movements, and it is necessary for the KDP and the PKK, as two old and influential parties, to stay away from any conflict so that they would not make aggressors happy," he said.
