The United States and France have once again sent delegations to the Syrian Kurdish region to, as they claim, reunify the two main Kurdish political movements in Syria.
The move to unify the Syrian Kurds is not just a geopolitical step for playing a greater role in the Syrian crisis, but rather a direct attempt by the two world powers to use the Kurds in order to further disintegrate the war-torn country, The Middle East Monitor newspaper wrote about the attempt by the US and France.
Western powers, such as France and the U.S., want to use the Kurds as a tool and card in the Syrian political crisis, the paper wrote about the goals of France and the United States in Syria.
The paper further urged the Kurds not to suppose the two world powers want to establish an independent entity for them, but rather, by showing themselves as an intermediary between the Kurds, they want to put themselves in a position to use the situation in the future.
