History and Kurdish people won't forgive the initiator of a Kurdish civil war: Mazlum Kobani

In a message criticizing the recent tensions between Kurdish movements in the Kurdistan Region, the commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazlum Kobani described the start of an internal conflict between Kurds as unforgivable.

Kobani stated at a virtual meeting of Kurdistan Parliamentarians Union, entitled "Development of Internal Negotiations," that "to date, the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) and the KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party) have resolved their problems through negotiations. I believe that these two movements can continue to resolve their issues through dialogue and negotiation."

"Any conflict between the KDP and the PKK will affect all Kurdish areas," Kobani was quoted as saying by KRDnews, adding that "a possible conflict between the Kurds will jeopardize the achievements of Syrian Kurdistan more than anything else. Whoever it is, it will not make a difference. History and the Kurdish people will not forgive the faction that creates internal conflict."
