James Kane, the co-founder of Delta Crescent USA, whose company has been licensed to operate in Kurdish-controlled oil fields in Syria, says the company has been set up with the sole purpose of operating exclusively in Syria.
Also the former US ambassador to Denmark, Kane told CNN that the company has been given full authority to work in various areas of the Kurdish-controlled regions of Syria, from production, refining and transferring to marketing and sales.
He stressed that the oil from Syrian Kurdish-controlled areas is to be exported to world markets.
Sources in US the institutions told CNN that the Syrian Kurds earned between one and three million dollars a day from the sale of crude oil in the areas under their control before the coronavirus outbreak.
