Iraqi Kurds can make deal with Baghdad when they secede from the country: party leader

<p style="text-align: left;">The secretary general of the Kurdistan Social Democratic Party stressed that the Iraqi Kurds could reach an agreement with Baghdad when they secede from the country, saying that the political parties in the region are better to reach an agreement with each other instead of trying to reconcile with Baghdad.

On the 44th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Social Democratic, Mohammad Haji Mahmoud, told Rudaw TV about the relations between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad that Baghdad should not be the center of all the efforts and activities for the Kurdish region, adding that if the Kurdish political parties are better to settle their differences and make agreements instead of the flexibility that the region shows towards Baghdad.

Mohammad Haji Mahmoud stressed that he does not oppose the visit of the region&rsquo;s negotiating team to Baghdad, because any agreement is good in any case, but there is no fundamental solution to the Kurdish problem in Baghdad, and the Iraqi Kurds can reach an agreement with Baghdad when they separate this country.

He also accused the Iraqi central government of having problems with the Kurds and never being willing to solve them, yet the Kurds are defending their relations with Iraq.
