Trump administration behind increasing Turkey's adventure in Iraq

<p style="text-align:left">One of the main reasons for the increase Turkey's military adventure in Iraq and the region is the US government's position against Ankara, Al-Monitor reported.

The Turkish military has stepped up air and ground operations in Iraq in recent months under the pretext of confronting the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) forces, according to Al-Monitor.
In a report on the Turkish military operation in the Kurdistan region, The American magazine considered the positions of the Trump administration to be influential in this regard. According to the magazine, the Trump administration's stance has helped Turkey expand its military adventure in the region, especially in Iraq, Syria and Libya.
"Such a military operation will continue outside Turkey as long as Erdogan is allied with the nationalists in the country, and he does not seem to be willing to make peace with the Kurds inside Turkey."
Al-Monitor also examines Turkey's military adventure from the perspective of the Kurds and Arabs, and writes that Iraqi Kurds believe that Turkish military operations against the Kurds are specifically aimed at weakening the Iraqi Kurdish region, and that Arabs believe that Turkey is seeking to take the control of some areas such as Kirkuk and Mosul, which is in line with Turkey's regional ambition to increase Ankara 's influence in the region.
It should be noted that US military and political officials have recently supported the continuation of Turkish attacks on Iraqi soil.
