Iraqi PM al-Kadhimi calls for speeding up passage of election law

<p style="text-align: left;">Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi criticized the dispute over the Domestic Violence Bill and called on the president and speaker of parliament to speed up the passage of the election law.

According to Al-Sumaria News, al-Kadhimi said at the 12th International Conference on Combating Violence Against Women: "The bill on combating domestic violence is still in conflict and we will try to activate the High Council of Women."

In another part of his speech, al-Kadhimi called on the speaker of parliament and the president of Iraq to speed up the completion of the election law with the aim of holding early elections in the country.
