Osman Ocalan: PKK will be destroyed if it continues its wars

<p style="text-align:left">Kurdish politician Osman Ocalan says that if the Kurdistan Workers&amp;rsquo; Party (PKK) does not stop war, the wars will lead to the destruction of the party.

"The PKK will not accept this agreement, and it is against any unanimity and agreement," Osman Ocalan told Kurdistan 24 TV about a recent agreement between the Iraqi central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government over the normalization of the situation in Shingal.

"An agreement that is not in the interests of the PKK is not accepted by the party and it will cause great harm to the people of the region," said Osman Ocalan, the brother of the PKK Jailed Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Emphasizing that the PKK is the main problem, Osman Ocalan said: "They are against peace and do not comply with agreement and law. They have set a law for themselves. As long as the PKK exists, the conflict will continue.&rdquo;

"The agreement between Erbil and Baghdad has received international support, but the PKK alone opposes the agreement, and if it continues in this way, it will suffer the most and will not be able to prevent it," Ocalan said.

The agreement on the return of stability and normalization of the situation in the city of Shingal was signed between Baghdad and Erbil on Friday, October 9, 2020.

Under the new Erbil-Baghdad agreement, the Iraqi central government and the KRG will control, revive the administrative structure and rebuild the region.
