Leaving Syrian Kurds was a big US mistake

<p style="text-align: left;">The Christian Science Monitor and the Guardian report that one of the big mistakes of the US government was to leave the Syrian Kurds against Turkey and Washington lost one of its important allies.

The US government withdrew its forces from northern Syria in October 2019, following which Turkey seized a significant part of the Kurdish-controlled areas of Syria.

The Christian Science Monitor has published a report the stances of the US presidential candidates on global issues. The magazine has emphasized that Donald Trump has worried US allies. The report emphasizes that Donald Trump has dealt a fatal blow to US relations with its allies by leaving the Syrian Kurds in the face of Turkish military strikes.

Christian Science Monitor called the Kurds one of America's most important allies in Syria, but stressed that Trump's move to leave the Kurds alone was a big mistake and damaged US relations with its allies.

"The Trump decision to withdraw US troops from northern Syria was so unexpected and unbelievable that it surprised the British government as one of the Kurdish allies in Syria; because Trump in his decision, to withdraw its forces from northern Syria left the British government and its intelligence agencies unaware," the Guardian reported..

The New York Times, in a report on the positions of the Democratic and Republican candidates in the United States on various issues, stressed that Joe Biden's position on the Kurds, especially the Iraqi Kurds, is unconstructive.
