Turkey is seeking to conduct new military operation into Syrian Kurdistan: spokesman

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align:justify">The spokesman for the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated that Turkish army has conducted attack in Ain al-Issa and these attacks are attempts to pave the way for conducting another big military operation into Syrian Kurdistan.

"The Turkish attack on Ain al-Issa is an attempt to destabilize the region. With these attacks, Turkey has taken advantage of the uncertainty that has arisen at the global and regional levels and is assessing the situation to conduct a new attack on Syrian Kurdistan. They are trying to find out whether the conditions are right for the occupation of new lands in Syrian Kurdistan. Turkey has been preparing extensively recently and the area is being bombarded with heavy weapons and artillery by the Turkish army," said Gino Gabriel, a spokesman for the SDF, about the ongoing attacks by the Turkish army and Turkish-backed forces on Ain al-Issa and surrounding villages.

"Turkey is thought to be pursuing diplomatic contacts with the United States. Russia also has agreements with Turkey in this regard. We have also reached an agreement with the central government of Syria in Russia presence. Especially in such a situation where there are widespread violations, Syria must increase its control. The central government must stop these attacks," the official further told Hawar News.
