Turkey will possibly launch new military attack on Syrian Kurds: daily

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">The British newspaper Levant warns that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is preparing for another military operation against the Syrian Kurds.

The Turkish military has twice before taken military action against the Syrian Kurds in 2018 and 2019, and has occupied the Kurdish regions of Afrin, Sari Kani and Geri Spi out of Kurdish control.

The British newspaper Levant has warned that Turkey appears to be preparing for another military operation against the Syrian Kurds and that Russia may agree with Erdogan over the attack as Russia agreed with Turkey attack in Afrin over the withdrawal of Ankara-backed insurgents from eastern Ghouta.

"In the next few weeks, when Trump hands over power to Joe Biden, Erdogan may want to launch another military operation against the Kurds, especially in the Ein Issa region as Turkish President thinks US will not be able to react to possible Turkey's attack on Kurds on the eve of power transfer," " the daily added, referring to the transfer of power in the United States in the next few weeks.

The newspaper, meanwhile, has reported that the United States could oppose a new Turkey invasion on Syrian Kurds.
