According to Political Press, Talabani arrived in Kirkuk on Tuesday, October 5, and met with the office of the Movement for Change in the city.
He discussed, with Gorran officials, activities of the Kurdistan Alliance ahead of Iraq parliamentary polls on October 10, and providing better services to the citizens of Kirkuk after the elections.
The leader of the Kurdistan Alliance stressed at the meeting on the continuation of joint activities between the Patriotic Union Kurdistan (PUK) and the Movement for Change with the aim of increasing the power of the Kurds to defend their rights in Baghdad.
It should be noted that the PUK and the Movement for Change Iraq have formed a coalition called the "Kurdistan Alliance" in the upcoming parliamentary elections and are jointly campaigning for the polls. The coalition is led by Qubad Talabani, a senior member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and deputy prime minister of the Kurdistan Region.
