ISIS militants attacked Peshmerga forces near Prde in south of Erbil late on Saturday, killing two members of the Kurdish forces.
“The continued attacks of terrorists prove the fact that Daesh [ISIS] is still a real threat and poses a threat to security and tranquility of the country,” Barzani said in a statement.
“Therefore, we need to confront the group until it is completely defeated in cooperation and coordination of Peshmerga, Iraqi military and security forces, backed by the international coalition,” he added.
A Peshmerga source told Esta Media Network that the militants used PKC machine gun in the attack against Peshmerga in Zrga Zraw area on Kirkuk frontline.
