According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the first military convoy affiliated with the coalition forces has entered the Kurdish-controlled area of Syria in the new year.

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports that military convoys of the anti-ISIS coalition continue to enter Syrian Kurdish-controlled areas in northeastern Syria.

According to the report, a military convoy belonging to the anti-ISIS coalition forces, including 30 trucks, transported logistics equipment and fuel to the coalition's bases in northeastern Syria.

The coalition military convoy entered the Kurdish-controlled areas of Syria through the Al-Waleed crossing between the Kurdish region and Syrian Kurdistan. The Simelka and Al-Waleed crossings are the only overland routes between the Kurdish-controlled region of Syria and the outside world.

The anti-ISIS coalition also delivered more than 150 trucks of military equipment and fuel to US-controlled coalition bases in northeastern Syria in the two weeks ahead of the New Year.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the anti-ISIS coalition sent seven military convoys to Syria in the last month of 2021 alone.
