Syrian Kurdish representative office to be opened in London

The Rojava Information Center announced that the Syrian Democratic Council representative office, the political branch of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), will be established in London next March.

The Rojava Information Center, which investigates, collects and disseminates information on the situation in the Kurdish-controlled region of Syria, announced the establishment of a representative office by the Syrian Democratic Council, the political branch of the Syrian Democratic Forces in Britain next month.

The information center, which is run by international journalists and analysts interested in the Kurdish issue in Syria, said on its Twitter page that Elham Ahmed, chairman of the executive committee of the Syrian Democratic Council, will attend the ceremony of opening the Democratic Council of Syria representative office in London on March 9.

The center also said that the Syrian Kurds have already established offices in Moscow in Russia, Sulaimani in Iraq, Washington in the United States, Paris in France, Stockholm in Sweden, Cairo in Egypt, The Hague in the Netherlands, Vienna in Austria and several other countries.

Describing the Syrian Democratic Council, the Rojava Information Center said it is the most important political body in northern and northeastern Syria, tasked with balancing the administrative and executive roles of the North and Northeast Syrian Autonomous Administration.

It is further responsible for the diplomatic relations of the North and Northeast Syrian Autonomous Administration with the Syrian central government as well as the international community.
